A number of academic and civil society organizations shared their proposals with the State Ministry for Peace

Dr. Alema, Deputy Minister of Human Rights and Civil Society of the State Ministry for Peace, met with a number of representatives of academic and civil society organizations.

During the meeting, representatives of civil society and academia said they are ready to co-operate with the State Ministry for Peace in presenting plans and implementing peace programs and creating a culture of peace.

Dr. Idrees Rasa, director of the Scientific and Research Organization of Sustainable Peace, said their proposal under the slogan "Peace in the Light of National Cohesion" would help promote a culture of peace, especially in educational institutions.

Mr. Rasa also said that they intend to act as a bridge between the people and the government by implementing this plan in cooperation with the State Ministry for Peace.

Sayed Wahidullah Haqiqi, director of Hoda Organization and chairman of the board of directors of the Takhar Civil Society Coalition, also said that a good opportunity for peace has been established and this opportunity should be used. He stressed that civil society organizations with the cooperation of the State Ministry for Peace can work in the field of peacebuilding in the country.

Mr. Haqiqi said that motivation for work and raising awareness in the field of peace are the issues that civil society organizations need to work on in cooperation with the State Ministry for Peace.

On the other hand, Dr. Mohammad Aman Haidari, president of the Silk Road Higher Education Institute and head of Association of Private Universities and Institutes of Higher Education in Afghanistan, said they are interested in holding peace-based programs.

He added that the Silk Road Institute of Higher Education, in cooperation with the State Ministry for Peace, plans to provide special discounts to a number of family members of war victims to provide them education with the least cost.

Dr. Alema, Deputy Minister of Human Rights and Civil Society of the State Ministry for Peace, while expressing gratitude to the representatives of these academic institutions and civil society, called their role in the field of peacebuilding important.

Dr. Alema said that their plans will be carefully studied and their implementation will be decided in consultation with the leadership of the ministry.

She considered the work of various institutions in the field of peace as a necessity and said that the participation of different institutions and strata in the peace process can improve this process
