Introduction Ceremony of the Newly-Appointed State Minister for Peace

The introduction ceremony of Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi as the new State Minister for Peace was held with the presence of Hamdullah Mohib, National Security Advisor to the President, Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President for Peace Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Fazal Mahmood Fazli, General Director of the Administrative Office of the President, Enayatullah Babur Farahmand, Deputy of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Mustafa Mastoor, Minister of Economy, members of the negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, members of the National Assembly, high-ranking government officials, political leaders and tribal elders. 
At the beginning, Abdul Khaliq Balakarzai, Deputy Minister for Coordination of Tribes and Institutions of the State Ministry for Peace, while thanking the efforts of former Minister Abdul Salam Rahimy, on behalf of the State Ministry for Peace's staff, welcomed the new Minister and said that the Ministry's staff are ready to work tirelessly to improve their functions.
Following that, Fazal Mahmood Fazli, General Director of the Administrative Office of the President, read out the President's decree on the appointment of the new State Minister for Peace. 
Subsequently, Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President for Peace Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, called the role of the State Ministry for Peace in the peace process important. He referred to the establishment of the High Council for National Reconciliation and said that the appointment of members of the negotiating team is one of the great steps taken towards peace. He stressed that the Afghan government is readier than ever to start negotiations.
Abdul Salam Rahimy called Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi a proficient manager and noted that it can be said with confidence that he is able to successfully carry out the new responsibility.
Mr. Rahimy also stated that the Peace caravan, accompanied by the institutions that have been established is moving forward with the cooperation of the people, and the long aspirations of the people, which is peace, will be met.
Hamdullah Mohib, National Security Adviser, praised Abdul Salam Rahimy for his work, noting that he started working in the State Ministry for Peace when there was nothing and now he has turned the ministry into an office that achieves the aspirations of the people.
Mr. Mohib wished success to the new State Minister for Peace and assured that the entire government would work with him to achieve peace.
Then the State Minister for Peace, Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, called peace as the main human need that the people of Afghanistan, for years, have been longing for.
He said that the people of Afghanistan have made many sacrifices for peace in the past four decades and have spared no effort in this regard. He said that in the Peace Loya Jirga, the people's desire for peace was raised more strongly and that the government had taken important steps towards peace, including the establishment of the High Council for National Reconciliation, the release of Taliban prisoners and the establishment of a negotiating team.
The State Minister for Peace called on the Taliban to seize the golden opportunity, to stand by the people and to make the dream of peace happen in reality. The State Minister for Peace also said that as far as the State Ministry for Peace is concerned, firm steps have been taken and will be strengthened in the future. He said the State Ministry for Peace, as a facilitator of the peace process, would do its utmost to co-operate with the negotiating team.
Mr. Naderi emphasized the positive role of the State Ministry for Peace in the pre-negotiation, during and after the negotiations.
In the end, Atta-ur-Rahman Saleem, Deputy Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, praised the efforts of Abdul Salam Rahimy and said: “The High Council for National Reconciliation has drawn a roadmap for peace, which will be finalized soon and practical steps will be taken to implement it.”
While reciting the prayer for the end of the program, he wished success to Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi as State Minister for Peace.
