Provincial offices of the State Ministry for Peace are being opened
Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace, in a video conference with the chairpersons of provincial councils, which was held in coordination with the leadership of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance, announced the opening of provincial offices of the State Ministry for Peace soon.
While emphasizing the effective role of provincial councils and the importance of coordination between peace activities by the government and provincial councils, the State Minister for Peace added that to establish effective public representation, the provincial offices of the ministry should start their activities in full coordination with provincial councils.
Mr. Rahimy continued that important steps have been taken to create a unified voice for peace so that the inclusiveness of the peace process is assured.
Also, Abdul Matin Bek, the chairman of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance, said in this video conference that the coordination of provincial councils and the role of these councils in facilitating and accelerating the peace process is vital.
In this video conference, a number of chairpersons of provincial councils also presented their views. Welcoming them, the Special Representative of the President said that new efforts and progress in the peace process will always be shared with them.
