The State Minister for Peace Meets with E.U. Representative and Ambassador of Germany to Afghanistan

The Special Representative of the President and State Minister for Peace Abdul Salam Rahimy met with Ambassador Markus Potzel, Germany’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, and Mr. Peter Prügel, ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Afghanistan.

At their meeting, both parties discussed the latest developments in the peace process and the possible peace talks between the government and the Taliban.

The German Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ambassador Markus Potzel said his country is supporting the peace process of Afghanistan.

The Special Representative of the President and State Minister for Peace said the government is committed to creating a space of trust between the people and strengthening the consensus for the peace process. He added that the government’s efforts for a durable peace will continue.

Abdul Salam Rahimy also welcomed the support of the government of Germany for the peace process of Afghanistan.
