The North Zone Students' Peace Discourse Meeting was held

The third round of peace talks of the students of Afghan governmental universities in the northern zone was held with the presence of Ghulam Farooq Khpalwak, Deputy Governor of Balkh, Basit Ahmad Hafezi, Head of the Capital Zone of the state Ministry for Peace and the person in charge of this program, Abdul Hamid Moradi, Head of the Northern Zone of the state Ministry, Muhammad Yasin Muhsini Director for Field Studies at the state Ministry for Peace , Balkh University officials and students from Balkh, Sar-e-Pul, Samangan, Jawzjan and Faryab provinces.
At the beginning, Ghulam Farooq Khpalwak, Deputy Governor of Balkh, said that youth participation in all peace-related processes is important and that youth should play a decisive role in this process.
Welcoming the holding of the peace dialogue, he said that the holding of this program will provide the ground for the participation of educated youth in the peace process.  He called the efforts of the youth to try creating a peaceful atmosphere and enlighten the public opinion in the field of peace, and said that this dialogue was held to gather the views of the youth in the peace process.
Basit Ahmad Hafezi, head of the capital zone of the state Ministry for Peace Affairs and in charge of implementing the program, provided information on the national peace dialogue, saying that holding this dialogue at a time when the peace process is at its most fundamental and historic stages is a good ground for strengthening Cohesion of national consensus and monotheism of the views of academic institutions.
He considered the participation of all parts of society in the peace process and the development of national consensus as very important and said that since the ownership of the peace process is in the hands of the people, gathering views and opinions of different sections of society is at the forefront programs of the state Ministry In order to facilitate the role of youth in the peace process.
He also said that after earning points from panel members at the end of the session, two students from each university will advance to the next round of the program, which will be held in Kabul. 
The participating students then presented their plans for the peace process.
Abdul Hamid Moradi, head of the Northern Zone, thanked the participants for their participation saying that the National Dialogue of Peace prompted students to share their plans with all students from different provinces.
He expressed the hope that all participants would be able to work together continuously for peace and mutual acceptance.
The head of the Northern Zone also emphasized that the views and opinions of the meeting participants will be used to prepare the agenda for the peace talks.
He called on the participating students to continue efforts to develop their capacity for peace and war research.
Sadiya Ekrami, a representative of the Independent Administrative Reform and civil service Commission, provided information on how to select participants.

 At the end of the program, Mohammad Yasin Muhsini, Head of Peace Studies at the Ministry of State for Peace Affairs, thanked the participants and said that the participants' plans would be used in the peace process.
At the end of the meeting, those who made it to the next stage were introduced.
It is worth mentioning that the National Peace Dialogue has been held at the level of 39 universities from all over Afghanistan and ten participants from each university are going to compete with each other by presenting peace-related projects and two students from each university will reach the final stage.  Following the completion of a series of peace dialogue sessions in eight zones, a national student peace dialogue will be held in Kabul in the near future with the participation of selected students from the government universities. This discourse has already taken place in the East and West zones.
