The State Minister for Peace Meets with the Qatar Government Delegations

Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, the state minister for peace met with a Qatari government delegation headed by Mutlaq bin Majed Al-Qahtani, Special Envoy of the Foreign Minister of Qatar for Afghanistan, Counterterrorism and Mediation of Conflict Resolution. 
The meeting focused on the Qatar’s role in facilitating Afghanistan peace process and how to strengthen the Afghanistan peace talks, The State Minister for Peace, while thanking the Government of Qatar for hosting the Afghanistan peace talks, emphasized on the role of this country in strengthening the negotiation process.
Referring to the escalation of the war and military movements, Mr. Naderi added that the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan believes in a political solution to end the conflict and considers meaningful negotiations as the only possible way to reach a peace agreement.
During the meeting, Mr. Qahtani stressed the need to strengthen negotiations and added that the government of Qatar will continue its cooperation in reaching peace agreements. He hoped that Afghanistan would achieve lasting and universal peace.
