Head and Members of the Negotiation Team Met with U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation

Mohammad Masoom Stanekzai, Head of the Negotiation Team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and some members of the negotiation team met with Zalmay Khalilzad, U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation and his accompanying delegation.
In this meeting, they discussed security issues, achieving a ceasefire, political participation in the peace process and the Moscow Conference.
They emphasized that there should be a principled discussion on the above-mentioned issues, and that in addition to speeding up the peace process in Doha, the quality of the negotiations should be maintained so that further steps for speeding up the process do not exacerbate the crisis in Afghanistan.
