The Working Mechanism of the National Advocacy Committee for War Victims Rights Was Approved

At a meeting attended by Dr. Alema, Deputy Minister for Human Rights and Civil Society of the State Ministry for Peace, and members of the National Advocacy Committee for War Victims Rights, at the State Ministry for Peace, the working mechanism of the committee was approved.
At the beginning of the meeting, Laila Jafari, Director of Political Organizations and Civil Society Institutions, thanked the members of the committee for the development of the working mechanism of the National Advocacy Committee for War Victims Rights.
She said that the opinions presented in the previous meetings were included in the working mechanism and this meeting was held for review and approval by the committee members.
Ms. Jafari said the mechanism is a foundation for hearing the voices of the disabled and the families of war victims to reach the leadership levels of the peace and negotiation process.
During the meeting, a member of the committee read the drafted mechanism and the other members of the committee presented their final comments and suggestions.
Dr. Alema, Deputy Minister for Human Rights and Civil Society of the State Ministry for Peace, thanked the committee members for developing this mechanism and said that the mechanism is open and if it was necessary, it can be reformed in the future.
She stated that the State Ministry for Peace will be a partner of the National Advocacy Committee for War Victims Rights in providing facilities and providing advice.
Dr. Alema added that receiving the views of victims' families during the negotiations and working to preserve and achieve their rights after reaching a peace agreement is one of the important tasks of this committee.
After voting, the mechanism for the National Advocacy Committee for War Victims Rights was approved. Thirteen persons were also elected as members of this committee.
It is noteworthy that the National Advocacy Committee for War Victims Rights was formed on 23 December 2020 with the presence of a number of officials of supporting organizations of the rights of the disabled and war victims and is being developed at the level of 34 provinces.
