The workshop participants were then divided into two groups. They shared their views and suggestions on the role and work of the civil society in the peace process as a connecting bridge between the people and the peace process, and monitoring the peace process and reflecting the voice of the people.
They also discussed ways to measure people’s perceptions of the peace process, strategies and action plan to inform civil society about the peace process, the ministry’s activities, and efficient ways to gather people’s views, opinions, and suggestions.
The workshop will continue tomorrow, and the representatives of the Advisory and Coordination Board of Civil Society Organizations for Peace would discuss developing a specific strategy for the future role of civil society organizations in the peace process, and how to build a connecting bridge between the people and the government, and also how to gather public opinion on the peace process.
