Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace, spoke with some survivors of the recent war victims in the country through video conference.
In this video conference, after listening to the speeches and opinions of the participants, Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace, while expressing his grief with all the survivors of the war victims, welcomed the presented ideas.
At the video conference, survivors of the war victims, while supporting the decision to reach a peace agreement, called on the families of war victims to play an active role in the peace talks. Their active participation helps them to get the answer to their questions, concerns and their opinions will be heard.
They stressed the need to respect the rights of women, victims and minorities in peace talks, and emphasized that efforts must be made to preserve and strengthen the achievements made in these areas.
Abdul Salam Rahimy said that the end of the war and the turmoil of the last four decades, as well as the provision and consolidation of peace in the country, require forgiveness, openness and active participation in the peace process.
Mr. Rahimy stated that past incidents should not hinder future progress.
The special envoy of the President said that the State Ministry for Peace is trying to facilitate the direct presence of the victims of war in the peace process. They will have peace in the process.
The Special Representative of the President stated that the State Ministry for Peace is working to facilitate the direct presence of representatives of the victims of war in the peace process. He said that some people on behalf of this group will be involved in decision-making related to peace, and they will have their voice in the peace process.
In the end, Mr. Rahimy said that the State Ministry for Peace is planning to set up a website to gather accurate statistics and records on the number of all war victims in the country. This will help to gain access to a comprehensive record of information about the war victims.
