The State Minister for Peace met with the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Afghanistan
Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace met with Tadamichi Yamamoto, the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Afghanistan.
In this meeting, Mr. Yamamoto praised the efforts of the State Ministry for Peace to strengthen and consolidate political consensus on the peace process. He emphasized the importance of coordination between all the parties involved in the Afghanistan peace process.
The Special Representative of the President said that the consultative meetings of the State Ministry for Peace with the politicians are going on and all their views will be included in the peace process.
Mr. Rahimy added that the government emphasizes on political consensus on the peace process and also facilitates a meaningful role of women in the process.
