The State Minister for Peace met with NATO Senior Civilian Representative to Afghanistan
Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace, met with Stefano Pontecorvo, NATO Senior Civilian Representative in Afghanistan.
In this meeting, NATO Senior Civilian Representative Stefano Pontecorvo, reiterated the organization's support for the negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the peace process.
Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace, also said that the participation of Afghanistan's international partners in this phase of the peace process is important.
Referring to the cooperation and support of Afghanistan's strategic partners in safeguarding the achievements of the last 19 years, the State Minister for Peace said that the continuation of this support could help Afghanistan end the war.
Abdul Salam Rahimy called the successful convening of the Peace Consultative Loya Jirga the success of the Afghan people, whose resolution, while demonstrating the goodwill of the people for peace, was a major step in this process.
At the end, Stefano Pontecorvo said that NATO will continue to support the Afghan peace process and will be a partner of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan during this process.
