State Minister For Peace Meets UNSG’s Special Representative For Afghanistan

The Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace, Abdul Salam Rahimy, met with the United Nations Secretary General's Special Representative for Afghanistan, Tadamichi Yamamoto, on Wednesday afternoon, August 14.
Mr. Yamamoto along with his team discussed the current issues and the practical steps of the peace process with Mr. Rahimy.
                                                           
Both sides also exchanged views and conferred on the new developments, capacity building, and the practical readiness of the State Ministry for Peace (SMP) to effectively advance key activities in the peace process.
Mr. Yamamoto, on behalf of the UN, announced his full readiness to support SMP.
