State Minister for Peace meets UN envoy to Afghanistan

The Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace, Abdul Salaam Rahimi, met with Tadamichi Yamamoto, the United Nations Special Representative for Afghanistan, at his office on Tuesday.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in peace.
Yamamoto once again reiterated the UN’s backing to the Afghan peace process and called the launch of inter-Afghan dialogue as ‘essential’.
Rahimi praised the UN's role ‘valuable’ in the peace process and called for continued cooperation of the organization.
