The State Minister for Peace Meets Indian Ambassador to Kabul
Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, State Minister for Peace, met with Rudrendra Tandon, India's Ambassador to Afghanistan.
In this meeting, they discussed the Afghanistan peace negotiation process in Doha, and the role of regional countries in moving the peace process forward, as well as the need to maintain and strengthen regional consensus on peace in Afghanistan.
While thanking India for its cooperation with Afghanistan in the past two decades and its support for the values of democracy and the peace process, Minister Naderi praised India's position in the region and the world and stressed the importance of its role in the future of Afghanistan.
He said that with the commencement of peace negotiations, the people of Afghanistan have opened a new chapter and want to deepen good relations between the two countries as friends and strategic partners.
Referring to the importance of Afghanistan for his country, India's ambassador said that his country supports an independent, united and democratic Afghanistan.
Expressing his country's readiness to continue cooperation with the Afghan people, Ambassador Tandon added that India sincerely cooperates in the Afghanistan peace process in order to achieve positive results from the process.
