The State Minister for Peace Meets “Friends of Afghan Women - Ambassadors’ Group”

Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, State Minister for Peace, met with the Friends of Afghan Women - Ambassadors’ Group.
The meeting focused on recent developments in the peace negotiations and the key role of women in the process, as well as efforts to strengthen the national and political consensus and preparations for the forthcoming Istanbul Conference.
Minister Naderi said that the State Ministry for Peace, as the facilitator of the peace process, is committed to supporting and involving all strata of the society in this process.
He stressed the importance of preserving women’s achievements in the last 20 years, emphasizing that both sides of the negotiations should consider the issue of women’s inclusion.
The meeting participants also considered women’s presence in the negotiation process important and expressed that women should be involved in the negotiations and decisions.
The “Friends of Afghan Women - Ambassadors’ Group” includes female officials and representatives from various UN member countries, established to support Afghan women’s rights and achievements in the society, government, and peace efforts.
