A platform will be established for exchanging views and sharing information on Afghanistan peace negotiations with the House of Elders (Meshran Jirga)
Abdul Khaliq Balakarzai, Acting Minister and Deputy Minister for Coordination of Tribes and Institutions of the State Ministry for Peace, and Jamal Naser Osoli, Head of Coordination with National Assembly of the Ministry met with Fazel Hadi Muslimyar, Speaker of the House of Elders (Meshran Jirga).
During the meeting, Fazel Hadi Muslimyar stressed the importance of the peace process, especially the peace negotiations, and said that access to information on the current process in Doha would facilitate the participation of different strata in the peace process.
Additionally, Abdul Khaliq Balakarzai stated in this meeting that sharing information and exchanging views between the peace structures and different institutions and strata is one of the priorities of the State Ministry for Peace.
He added that in this regard, the State Ministry for Peace has established the necessary mechanisms and is implementing it.
The Acting Minister and Deputy Minister for Coordination of Tribes and Institutions of the State Ministry for Peace said that the consultative meetings of the members of the negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan have started and will continue online.
