Note of Gratitude to Senate

Dear honorable head of the Senate His Excellency Fazal Hadi Muslimyar, deputies, administrative board and heads of commissions and other respectable senators, first of all, let me thank you for demonstrating strong consensus for achieving peace, and for endorsing the ministry and your support for the government's peace efforts. I also thank the directorate of the secretariat of Meshrano Jirga.
 
State Ministry for Peace, SMP committed to coordinate efforts and the collective endeavor towards achieving peace and, therefore, needs continuous support from the Meshrano Jirga. Peace will only be restored when the people and the government both support the endeavor. Meshrano Jirga’s decision demonstrated that the state is committed to supporting the efforts. I hope the Taliban have also received this message and by abandoning war make steps towards the development of the country. 
The State Ministry for Peace is committed to honestly observe national interests in the peace process and lead the efforts towards ending the ongoing brutal conflict in the country. 
I would like to once again thank Meshrano Jirga of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on behalf of the State Ministry for Peace, SMP, for their endorsement and support to the efforts for bringing peace to the country.
