Haji Kalimullah Naqibi, the son of Haji Mullah Naqibullah Akhundzada, was born in 1978 in Kandahar province. He has received religious education in the Kherqa-e Motahara and Abu Hanifa schools and modern education up to the twelfth grade in the Sofi Saheb High School. Haji Kalimullah Naqibi opened his eyes to the world in 1978 in the center of Kandahar, in Arghandab district in the western corner of Baba Wali shrine in Charqulba village, in the house of Mullah Naqibullah Akhund known as Mullah Gul Akhand (son of Haji Abdul Sattar Akhund), one of the influential families belonging to the Pash-tun Alokozi Khail tribe. Mullah Naqibullah Akhund, the father of Haji Kalimullah Naqibi, played an important role as a shining star of jihad, considering the changes and conditions of his time. He had learned religious les-sons from his father and after the revolutionary coup and the martyrdom of Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan and the declaration of jihad; He dedicated his whole life to jihad for the sake of God and for the independence of Afghanistan. The services and struggles of Mullah Naqibullah Akhund are the pride of the Pashtuns and drew the countries of the region to jihad. Haji Naqibullah Akhund raised his son with a strong national determination and Afghan spirit, and provided him many opportunities to gain experience.
Haji Kalimullah Naqibi, in addition to the religious education he received in the schools of Kherqa-e Motahara and Abu Hanifa, he pursued the modern education up to the twelfth grade at the Sofi Saheb High School and then he got a bachelor's degree in law and political science. At the same time, he learned English, computer, and private sciences as well.
Following the death of Mullah Naqibullah Akhund (Mullah Gul Akhund) on October 11, 2007, former President Hamid Karzai and former Jihadi leader Burhanuddin Rabbani elected Haji Kalimullah, the eldest son of Mullah Naqibullah Akhund, as his successor. Haji Kalimullah Naqibi was given the responsibility of ethnic succession and ethnic leadership by putting turban on his head.
Mr. Naqibi, continuing his father's right path, started the political and national struggle with full manhood and worked hard to serve the people. After consultations and meetings with young people, political, scientific and national figures and structures, he was elected as the deputy of the influential political party of Jamiat-e-Islami.
In 2014, by the decision of the party leadership council, he declared his support for Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in the presidential elections, and by holding a grand and glorious program during Dr. Abdullah’s visit to Kandahar, he introduced him to the national and international level. Also, after resolving the election disputes, Haji Kalimullah was elected to resolve the crisis between the government and the former governor of Balkh, Atta Mohammad Noor. The political crisis was a source of concern for the people and the emergence of the next crisis. Fortunate-ly, Mr. Naqibi resolved the crisis with patriotism and sincerity, extensive knowledge and skill, and received an honorary commendation from the President.
Having the above skills, in 2020 he was elected as a member of the negotiating team of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with Taliban.
