The Negotiating Team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan held a Consultative Meeting with a number of female members of the National Assembly

Today, the State Ministry for Peace hosted a consultative meeting and exchange of views between the negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, with the presence of head and female members of the team, and some female members of the National Assembly.
The meeting was chaired by Masoom Stanekzai and attended by Habiba Sarabi, Fawzia Koofi, Sharifa Zurmati and 11 female members of the National Assembly. The meeting was focused on the discussions concerning the obstacles to peace and overcoming them, the preservation of values in the peace process, social participation in this field, and the proper representation of women in this process.
Masoom Stanekzai, head of the negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, called the views and advice of women useful and valuable. He noted that the proposed opinions are being considered in the process, and assured that the rights of Afghan women and citizens and the achievements of the last two decades will never be ignored.
