Members of the Women Harassment Prevention Committee of the SMP Were Introduced
Members of the Women Harassment Prevention Committee of the State Ministry for Peace were introduced to the ministry’s staff in a meeting attended by Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, State Minister for Peace, Dr. Alema, Deputy Minister for Human Rights and Civil Society, Ghulam Yahya Abbasy, Deputy Minister for Administrative Affairs and Support, senior advisers, directors, and other staff of the State Ministry for Peace.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, State Minister for Peace, called the Law on Elimination of Violence against Women and Children one of the most important laws in the country and said that everyone has to abide by this law.
He called the implementation of the Law on Elimination of Violence against Women and Children the only way to prevent violence against women. He stated that a seminar should be held at the State Ministry for Peace to raise awareness about the law.
Minister Naderi further stated that the ministry is committed to creating an appropriate and safe working environment for its employees, especially women.
Bismillah Saed, Director of Human Resources of the State Ministry for Peace, introduced the Women Harassment Prevention Committee members to the staff.
Torpaykai Rahimi, Head of Gender Policy Implementation, provided information on the Women Harassment Prevention Committee’s goals and duties.
The Women Harassment Prevention Committee of the State Ministry for Peace is formed under the headship of Dr. Alema, Deputy Minister for Human Rights and Civil Society, and membership of Nahida Haidari, Head of Gender Coordination, and Bismillah Saed, Head of Human Resources of the SMP.
