Meeting of Deputy Minister of Human Rights and Civil Society with officials of the European Institute of Peace
Dr. Alema, Deputy Minister of Human Rights and Civil Society of the State Ministry for Peace, in an online meeting with Horeya Mosadeq, Patrick de Vries, Paul Siles, Claire Dowling and Ivan Shalev, officials of the European Institute of Peace, discussed and exchanged views on the Institute's cooperation with the State Ministry for Peace.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Alema spoke about the consultative meetings of the Negotiating Team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with various strata held by the State Ministry for Peace.
She noted that the Deputy Minister of Human Rights and Civil Society of the State Ministry for Peace concentrates on programs focusing on gender, women's rights and the de-escalation of violence.
On the other hand, Horeya Mosadeq said that the European Institute of Peace has conducted research on peace, reconciliation and justice in Afghanistan, the results of which are expected to be prepared in the upcoming month. She added that the institute will share the results of its research with the State Ministry for Peace.
The meeting also discussed the prospects for Afghanistan after the peace agreement.
