The leadership of the Solidarity Council of Daikundi’s People met with officials of the State Ministry for Peace
The leadership of the Solidarity Council of Daikundi’s People, in a meeting with officials of the State Ministry for Peace, announced their support for the peace process and presented a plan for holding inter-provincial sports competitions under the name "Peace and Friendship Cup" in order to strengthen the peace process.
Emphasizing the importance of the peace process, the leadership members of the council said that peace is a basic need of the people and to achieve this demand, the Solidarity Council of Daikundi’s People is ready to cooperate with the State Ministry for Peace.
They stated that they plan to hold sports competitions in several provinces with the support and cooperation of the State Ministry for Peace in order to establish communication between the people of these provinces, create an atmosphere of mutual acceptance and cooperation to strengthen the peace process.
Welcoming the Solidarity Council of Daikundi’s People plan, Abdul Khaliq Balakarzai, Deputy Minister for Coordination of Tribes and Institutions, said that working for peace through sport was a good thing and that traveling to the provinces could represent national unity. Supporting the council's plan, he said that peace is the will of every Afghan and to achieve that we need to carefully take every step.
Laila Jafari, Head of Political Organizations and Civil Society Institutions of the State Ministry for Peace, expressed her gratitude to the leadership members of the Solidarity Council of Daikundi’s People and called for continued communication with the council members.
She said that by establishing a lasting relationship, the State Ministry for Peace and the Solidarity Council of Daikundi’s People can support each other in the peace process.
