Top Afghan leaders held talks in Doha, Qatar, from 17 to 18 July 2021, hosted by the government of Qatar.
They agreed on the need to accelerate negotiations in order to find a just and lasting solution to the Afghanistan conflict as soon as possible.
They understand the need for an agreement that meets the interests and aspirations of all Afghans men and women in the light of Islamic principles.
They committed to being involved in the negotiations at a high level until a settlement is reached and will continue to hold such meetings in the future, At the same time, the senior of the two sides guiding negotiating teams to speed up the negotiation process. All parties ensure that civilian infrastructure is protected, prevented civilian casualties, and cooperated on humanitarian assistance throughout Afghanistan. Given the significant spread of the Covid-19 all over Afghanistan, they will take all appropriate measures to ensure the safety of vaccination employees and ensure the transport of oxygen and other essential materials for the treatment of people infected with Covid-19 without any obstacles.
Both delegations thanked the Qatari government for its generous assistance in seeking a lasting peace in Afghanistan.
And also they show appreciation to the neighboring countries, regions and international community for their cooperation in the Afghanistan peace process.
