Heratis’ public gathering lends weight to peace & national cohesion process

The public gathering held on Thursday, August 8, at the Maolana Hall to welcome and show solidarity with the peace process, issued a resolution letter that emphasized on supporting the republican system, the decisions taken by the Consultative Loya Jirga, and the Afghan government as a legitimate representative of the people of Afghanistan in the peace process.
The resolution letter also urged the parties into the war to declare a ceasefire.

At the conference, Mr. Kobrazani, public representative from Herat province at the parliament, Toryali Taher, deputy head of the Herat Provincial Council, Herat Deputy Governor Ghulam Dawood Hashemi, Gholam Yahya Hazem, an author and a political activist, University Professor Ms. Shahidzada, Mohammad Rafiq Shahir, chairman of the specialists’ council, Saad Khatibi, Chairman of the Herat Chamber of Commerce, Maulvi Ghulam Mohammad Masoon, a Jihadi commander, and Ghulam Habib Hashemi, a public representative at the provincial council, also gave addresses.
