The government has complete oversight on how the violence reduction is being implemented

Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace met with Roland Kobia, the European Union's special envoy for Afghanistan and his delegation at his office.
During the meeting, the State Minister for Peace, referring to efforts to strengthen and consolidate political consensus on the  Afghanistan peace process, said the government manages the Afghan peace process in a way that is not affected by other political issues.
He also added that the government has full oversight on the implementation of the violence reduction.
The Special Representative of the President added that the State Ministry for Peace is working seriously on issues related to the peace negotiations. He added that the work on establishment of formations to advance the peace process is also in place.
Abdul Salam Rahimy said that the Afghanistan peace process is led by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the government will act in accordance with its competencies.
Roland Kobia, on behalf of the European Union, welcomed the progress made in the peace process, and called the EU as a supporter of the Afghanistan peace process.
