Ethnic & social groups’ reps attend peace consultative meeting
Mirwais Sargand, a senior adviser at the State Ministry for Peace (SMP), met with a number of tribal elders from the northern provinces.
At the meeting, the tribal elders shared their views regarding the peace process and announced their support in this regard.
These tribal elders remarked that all the people of Afghanistan should strive for peace, adding that the unity and solidarity of the people would be effective in the process of building peace.
They also stressed that peace was a national process and that all the ethnic groups in the country should have an equal share in this process.
Expressing his gratitude to the tribal elders for their support to the peace process, Mr. Sargand said that the president was a supporter of peace and wanted further participation of people in the process. He stressed that unity and compatibility were the key to peace.
