The Establishment of Senior Consultation Committee for Peace Affairs was Approved

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani issued a decree establishing Senior Consultation Committee for Peace Affairs to coordinate decision-making on various aspects of the peace process, chaired by Abdul Salam Rahimy, Special Representative of the President and the State Minister for Peace.

According to this presidential decree, the National Security Council, the General Directorate of the Administrative Office of the President, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, the Ministry of Energy and Water, the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs, the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Repatriation and Refugees, the Independent Directorate of Local Governance, the General Directorate of Radio and Television of Afghanistan, the Executive Office of Afghan Red Crescent Society, and the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Centers of the Ministry of Interior are members of this committee.

Based on the decree, the State Ministry for Peace State is also responsible for the Secretariat of the Senior Consultation Committee for Peace Affairs
