Coordination meeting of the State Ministry for Peace with the Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament (Wolesi Jirga)

Abdul Khaliq Balakarzai, Deputy Minister for Coordination of Tribes and Institutions of the State Ministry for Peace and Jamal Naser Osoli, Head of Coordination with National Assembly of the Ministry met with Mir Rahman Rahmani, Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament (Wolesi Jirga).

In this meeting, which was organized by the Department of Coordination with the National Assembly of the State Ministry for Peace, discussions were held on establishing coordination to share information on the progress of the peace process.

Speaking about the activities of the State Ministry for Peace, Abdul Khaliq Balakarzai said that besides consulting with various strata, the ministry is committed to sharing information about peace negotiations with the people's representatives as well.

On the other hand, Mr. Rahmani, Speaker of the Wolesi Jirga, stressed the importance of information sharing about the Afghanistan peace negotiations and said that there is a need to share information on peace efforts and progress with members of the National Assembly and to establish a lasting coordination mechanism.

At this meeting, it was decided that the progress made in the Afghanistan peace negotiations will be regularly and continuously shared by the State Ministry for Peace with the National Assembly.
