Acting Minister of the State Ministry for Peace Met with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic
Mr. Abdullah Khenjani, Acting Minister of the State Ministry for Peace and Deputy Minister for Coordination, Policy and Strategy of the Ministry, met with Mr. Jiří Baloun, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic spoke about the Czech Republic's cooperation in various fields with the Afghan people in recent years and said that the Czech Republic supports a stable and democratic Afghanistan.
Mr. Jiří Baloun added that the Czech Republic wishes the success of the Afghanistan peace negotiations and the peace process and will continue its diplomatic support.
The Acting Minister of the State Ministry for Peace expressed his gratitude for the Czech Republic's cooperation in various fields in Afghanistan, including education and reconstruction, over the past two decades.
Mr. Khenjani said that the negotiation team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is in Doha for the second round of the Afghanistan peace negotiations and enjoys full support of the Afghan government and the Afghan people.
He stated that the ongoing violence and targeted assassinations are a matter of concern to the Afghan people and, therefore, the negotiation team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has put achieving a comprehensive ceasefire at the top of the negotiations agenda.
Mr. Khenjani further stated that the support of the international community is of particular importance in moving the negotiation process forward and that the people of Afghanistan want the continued support of their international partners.
